Developmental
Reading Assessment (DRA) enables classroom teachers to systematically
observe, record, and evaluate changes in student reading performance. It also provides teachers with information
that helps them determine each student’s reading level and identify what the
student needs to learn in order to be proficient readers. The assessment is given on a semi-annual
basis to monitor and document change over time in student’s reading.
